FAQs
Here are some of the FAQ's we are often asked. If you can’t find the answer to your query here,
please email or phone with your question.
What areas do you cover?
Lincolnshire and some parts of Nottinghamshire
Can I claim back the cost of the glass repair from my insurance company?
Yes. Your building insurance should cover this. Once our work is completed, you get an invoice showing what we have done, which you pay on completion. Just send that, along with any other relevant claims paperwork to your insurers for them to deal with.
I work funny hours. Is that a problem ?
Not at all. We understand sleep is important, especially to health care workers and those in the emergency services. We can do the work almost anytime to suit you. Even in the evening or at weekends. And all at the same price as our daytime rates.
I’m a healthcare professional. Can I have a discount?
Absolutely. Healthcare professionals, members of the Emergency Services, those in the Military and indeed anyone having a Blue Light Card, all benefit from an automatic 10% discount off everything we do, except with PVC doors & windows and Composite doors products, where it’s 5% off.
There is no minimum spend or time limit for this offer.
How much will the job cost?
For glazing work thats easy. Once measured, we can give you an exact job price. You can either give send in your sizes using the 'Contact Us' form, or we will come round and measure up. Please do remember though that all quotes are ‘subject to view’.
For larger projects its a difficult to answer without actually seeing whats involved. Remember though, all our quotes are free, and there is NO call-out charge.
There are no hidden extras and there's no VAT. Once you have confirmed the order, we will process it with our suppliers and with some standard glazing only taking around 2 days to obtain, you will have your new glass in no time.
How can I pay for the work when it’s done?
We accept cash, all major credit cards, BACS and PayPal payments. We are sorry, but we no longer take cheques. Not even good ones!
For larger projects, finance is available. Please ask us regarding how we can help with that when you call.
Do you offer payment by instalments?
We don't offer payment by instalments for our standard work, but for larger projects, finance is available.
Are you expensive?
We don't think so and consider our prices very competitive. There is absolutely nothing wrong in ringing round for prices, but please do not get caught out. Make sure the firms you ring are genuine, local and not a call-centre somewhere simply farming the job out to a sub contractor, which could result in you paying a lot more for the job.
Do I get a discount on regular orders?
Yes. For business customers with multiple sites, we offer fixed price emergency boarding up, and glazing work undertaken with the glass prices guaranteed for the current financial year.
I need advice before I book a job with you, is there a charge for you coming to look?
No. We understand that not all jobs are urgent. You may simply need costings and advice for future projects. Our staff can help with this. Ring anytime to discuss or to book an appointment.
I have an older shop premises and am worried about the glass. Can you help?
Yes. In older shop premises, there is still some of the original plate glass knocking around. We can check this for you by doing a 'Regulation 14' survey. It costs £65.00. If we find any, and we replace it for you, you get the survey fee deducted from the invoice. The new glass will be laminated safety glass.
