Double Glazing Repairs
Replacements, Repair
Service Description
A double glazed unit (DGU) is said to have ‘blown’ or 'failed' when you see condensation or marks on the INSIDE of the sealed unit. When this happens your DGU has, in effect, has come to the end of its natural life. But don’t worry! You won’t have to change all your glazing or even the frames. You just need to replace the one where you see this moisture between the glass panels. Standard units can be supplied in a matter of days, whilst toughhened ones tak a little longer. To get a rough guide price for the work, if you can, measure left to right and top to bottom of the glass that you can see before it disappears in the frame, and send that over to us using the Contact Us form. We’ll email you back a guide price for the work. If your unsure about measuring or are not able to, we offer free quotes and we will come round, measure everything up and give you a very competitive price for the work whilst there. If you do send us your sizes and accept the price we quote, once we have seen it and even if your measurements were a little out, don't worry. We usually charge what we have quoted. Typically, replacement double glazing starts at around £65, but it really does depend on the size of unit, where in the home, or business it is, and how many you are replacing. If we are supplying a number of units then we can sometimes lower the overall cost. This is due to any waste glass being reduced. There’s no VAT to pay, and all our replacement double glazing carries a 10-year guarantee. Against failure that is. If someone puts a brick through it, then unfortunately it would not be covered. On larger projects we can offer you finance. On smaller ones we take cash, PayPal, bank transfer or CC.
