Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the FAQ's we are often asked. If you can’t find the answer to your query here,
please email or phone with your question.
What areas do you cover?
Lincolnshire and some parts of Nottinghamshire
Can I claim back the cost of the glass repair from my insurance company?
Yes. Your building insurance should cover this. Once our work is completed, you get an invoice showing details of what we have done, which you pay on completion. Then all you normally need to do is send that, along with any other relevant claims paperwork to your insurer or broker.
I work funny hours. Is that a problem ?
Not at all. We understand sleep is important, especially to health care workers and those in the emergency services. We can do the work almost anytime to suit you. Even in the evening or at weekends. And all at the same price as our daytime rates.
I’m a healthcare professional. Can I have a discount?
Absolutely. Healthcare professionals, members of the Emergency Services, the Military and indeed anyone having a Blue Light or Carers Card, all benefit from an automatic 10% discount off everything we do, except with new PVC door & windows/composite doors products, where it’s 5% off.
There is no minimum spend nor time limit for this offer.
How much will the job cost?
For glazing work that's easy. We can either come round and measure up, or you can send in your rough sizes in using the 'Contact Us' form, so we can work out as guide price. If you like the figures, we will then make arramgements come over to measure exactly and confirm the exact price for the job. If you are not too far out with your figures, we will hold the price we quoted.
For larger projects its a difficult to answer without actually seeing what's involved. Remember though, all our quotes are free, and there is NO call-out charge.
There are no hidden extras or VAT either.
How can I pay for the work when it’s done?
We accept cash, all major credit cards, BACS and even PayPal. We are sorry, but we no longer take cheques.
Not even good ones!
Are you expensive?
We don't think so and consider our prices very competitive. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong in ringing round for comparrison quotes. But please do not get caught out. Make sure the firms you ring are genuine, local and not a call-centre somewhere else in the UK simply farming the job out to a sub-contractor, which could result in you paying a lot more for the job. It does happen!
Do I get a discount on regular orders?
Yes. For business customers with multiple sites, we offer fixed price emergency boarding up, and glazing work undertaken with the glass prices guaranteed for the current financial year.
I need advice before I book a job with you, is there a charge for you coming to look?
No. We understand that not all jobs are urgent. You may simply need costings and advice for future projects. Our staff can help with this. Ring anytime to discuss or to book your appointment.
I have an older shop premises and am worried about the glass. Can you help?
Yes. In older shop premises, there is still some of the original plate glass knocking around. We can check this for you by doing what is called a 'Regulation 14' survey which costs £105.00. If we find any non-standard glass, which you then ask us to replace, we will discount the survey fee from your glass invoice.
Any new glass we fit will be either toughened or laminated safety glass. And ticks the Health and Safety box.
