Lock Repairs and Replacements
At Acorn Glass and Glazing®, we install many different types of locks for both timber and PVC doors. Amongst these, especially for PVC doors, is the Ultion British Standard high security lock. Double Glazing Repair
A double glazed unit (DGU) is said to have ‘blown’ or 'failed' when you can see condensation or markings INSIDE the sealed unit. Like in this image on the far left. This means that your DGU has to the end of its natural life.
If the unit was originally fitted in standard glass, any new units might be re-glazed using toughened glass. That's in keeping with Building Regulations. Have a look at this Critical Areas information which explains it in more detail.
All new DGU's carry a 10 year guarantee and we are one of the few glazing businesses that allow this guarantee to be passed to any new property owners.
So we can give you some idea of the replacement cost, if you can, measure left to right and top to bottom of the glass that you can see before it disappears in the frame and send that over to us using the contact us page. We will email you back a very competitive price for the work.
